Why not put the duchies, county and Adriatic in Italian too?

Here's the revised version. I decided to change to the modern Italian translation, since I have no idea what the Duchies would be in Venetian.

The borders for the county are very guesstimated, as Paradox Interactive's maps don't tend to have a lot to go on.

I posted the first version of this when I originally did it, but I've since changed it and figured I'd post the new version.

This is basically how I view the world in term of Geographical Regions.

Note that the divisions of each Geoegion are Macroregions, that is they're not all necessarily how I would divide each Georegion if I was just doing a single one.

You really oughta split Texas up the Balcones Escarpment.

Like I said, if I was doing a map/thinking of just North America the borders would be different, including Texas being its own region.

If I were to do a map with similar premise to that, I'd have done some things different. Probably would have united the Sahel, for one. I'd have also put Peru, Chile, and Bolivia in as single Macroregion. Colorado would be divided on the Rockies between the plains Macroregion and the California one, too.

@Metastasis

Did you ever get that map going? If no, don't bother.

I'd place it alongside Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, and Alberta in a Rockies region.

Oh I already have figured out each region.

The below is basically how I divide the States of the United States regionally for example;

Interesting, but I think Kentucky should be half-Southern, half-Old Northwest Country. And Virginia's Southern to the bone... And what about Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico's its own region, containing nothing but itself and the US Virgin Islands.

EDIT: I'd make Arkansas jointly part of the South and Greater Texas, like Oklahoma, but that's just me. (I'd also make Idaho and New Mexico jointly part of their current regions and your Rockies region, but I'm a Saxosian revanchist. )

I can't quite figure out whether you favor Political or Geographical barriers more. One spot where it makes a big difference is Micronesia; geographically, the Gilbert Islands and Banaba Island are part of Micronesia, though culturally they're part of Kiribati, which is (geographically) more in Polynesia, with the exception of those islands.

As a result of it having remained Pro-Union and the border looking ugly I just clump it into the 'Old MidwesT/Heartland' region, especially when you consider alot of the Southern portions of the Great Lake States it borders are culturally similar.

Virginia's not really that Southern, yes it was part of the CSA (though it was'nt one of the first and had its doubts), but culturally and demographically it's developed very differently from the rest of the South.

And what about Puerto Rico?
It's not a State, but overall it along with the U.S. Virgin Islands and that one other little tiny island form a Caribbean Region.

It's a mixture of both really.

In Oceania though it's more Geographic-leaning.

They're their own region consisting entirely of themselves. They don't want to join the bloody Yanks.
