The fact that you didn't even bother to google 'Japanese names' followed by 'Japanese surnames' to come up with your president is a very big indication of just how nonexistent your research is.

What did the Japanese have against Nevada that they split it up? How was Baja California acquired--did Japan fight Mexico for it, or had it been part of the US? Or did it just snap off and the Japanese glued it back on and painted it yellow, hoping the Mexicans wouldn't notice?

Sorry, missed that second part. Yeah, that font is supposed to be standard Acadian calligraphy for that time. I already emailed it to you so you should be good. The one thing is that I couldn't find a G-acute symbol, so I coded G-circumflex as G-acute in the font.

Also, have you been able to read all those back emails, or would you like me to translate the place names?

Actually, Suzuki is a surname.

That doesn't mean it's not a surname, too. Cf. Wikipedia. Also, it would make more sense as I doubt MissWhatIsToya went through the trouble of thinking about whether she should put the surname first or last.

I really don't think her first name was "Walker".

If I'm not mistaken, there's the Minnesota River up there that's determining *Iowa's northern border. The Mississippi River makes *Wisconsin's eastern border, so yeah, that does make a little panhandle there.

I don't see why Alaska being split in two is always such a big deal. I think some policy like homesteading or something would allow the population in southern Alaska to become large enough for it to become a state by itself.

There's nothing really stopping Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico from forming the way they did in OTL from what I've read.

I originally intended for Utah to have more of Nevada, but I think that little triangle from *Arizona is enough.

Montana, I'm working on. Any suggestions?

That entire state is Sonora. Since it's mostly desert, I assumed that the government won't mind it becoming a comparatively larger state.

That, my friend, shall be shown in another inset.

I know. I suppose the date would be after World War II, if not after the Cold War.

Also, I love your Maine borders so much!
Thanks!

The basemap was a little crowded, so I forgot about the Merrimack River border. Thanks for pointing it out.

I think there's a small river, an outlet of the Colorado or something that I based the border on. Baja California was acquired at the same time as California, so there was no "LA Metro" then. Anyway, it's all within the U.S., there's no problem with a metro being divided between two states.

I learned that lesson a long time ago. Save the path every five-ish minutes, and once more before stroking it. Also, make sure that the file is in .xcf format. Export it to .png or .jpg only after you're entirely done with it.

You can't really do that, Alaska is basically uninhabitable to Europeans without modern technology, and even then it's not a place anyone would really want to, I mean even now with the incentive that is the Yearly Oil Payments Alaska's entire population is only 722,718.

More importanly thought their is absolutely zero reason to split the North off as a territory, as it will NEVER have even a quarter of the required population to be a state.

Yeah, even if we use the NW Ordinance as the cutoff (60K) Northern Alaska, by almost any division, isn't up enough for its own statehood.

Northern Alaska will become a state of its own in the year 2562, due to heavy immigration of penguin-people from Tau Ceti 6.

That's just how the rearragned the internal borders.

Japan fought the Mexican-Canadian-American coalition and won (ASB, obviously, it's a Axis wins scenario) and took Baja and parts of British Columbia, all of Yukon, Alaska, and the US Pacific coast.

I feel very insulted that you can't even use an actual Japanese name.

And It's Japanese, one "s", not Japanesse.
