That reminds me of a game I can't remember the name of where America split in two, between Genetically Engineered and Cyborg populations with a giant border zone in the Mid-West.

This is just a quick map of North America following a much more brutal loss in the 1812 War for the USA. As you can see it subsequently fell apart, and after peace was made in 1813, Britain went about thoroughly smashing France with her allies.
Louisiana was made into a dominion before Canada due to a very unsettled population of Frenchmen, but as one of the conditions the Louisianans had to allow British settlement, which worked out just fine, because now it is very developed. Ignore the name 'native state'. As it was a quick map, I didn't go to much effort in finding an appropriate name. If anyone is willing to come up with one that sounds nice and is easy to pronounce, I'll gladly change it. Questions are welcome! The southern states seceded over slavery as per OTL, since the US was losing allies and needed to back up the anti-slavery positions of Britain and much of Europe to gain some international face. The southern states then fell apart, with Georgia doing the most well. Georgia and Florida were for a long time British vassals but have since gained more independence.

Not bad, Abby. Texas may need to be readjusted, though, if you go anywhere with this.

No, the US just took most of the area controlled by the Republic of Texas. |
