I see. I'd like to help as much as I can, but I'm not sure how exactly you guys determine where everything is. Do you just eyeball it or are there specific steps to do?

Well, their are some who are really good with editing programs who take maps, and change their size and overlay that on the Q-BAM to figure out where they'd be, but I, and I'm guessing most others, just eyeball it.

It's wrong. The borders of Moselle and Muerthe should be different.

I did'nt do the Departments, I was just fixing the external borders and the one Department border I noticed.

That said, if you'd like to create a corrected patch please do feel free.

Here's one for Africa in 1914. Admittedly, it's mostly Saladan's work that I was cleaning up, but I did make some fixes in there.

Nice work, but you have Sierra Leone inverted. The inner area was the colony and the outer regions were governed as a protectorate.

The original map done by QAZ is only of the Old World, though it does include the subdivisions of about 70% of what's shown.

However it's not only on the old Basemap, but, well, it needs major clean-up.

The islands off of Omans South coast had been bothering me awhile, and, well in the process of correcting them I ended-up moving on to doing a bunch of fixes for the region;

-Corrected Qeshm island.
-Corrected Masirah island.
-Corrected the Khuriya Muriya islands.
-Corrected the Yemeni-Omani border.
-Corrected the Omani-Emirati border.
-Corrected the minor islands of the Socotra archapelago
-Major fixes of the Emirati coastline
-Major fixes to the Qatari coastline.
-Major fixes to Bahrain
-Minor fixes to the Iranian and Saudi coasts.
-Minor fixes to the coast of Oman.
-Added 22 islands to the Persian Gulf.

Just finished it.
What is the source for those Ottoman administrative borders? They don't match the Worlda ones for 1914 on the Wiki.

Hedjaz is a general pain I know- I've seen some which basically draw the boundary across at Aqaba, some at the Dead Sea, some as high as Galilee, and most indicate the Sandjak of Jerusalem as extending to the Egyptian border, but I can't actually find any maps with those borders for Damascus or Aleppo.

That part was Saladan's work. However, they do match the ones shown for Vilayets on Wikipedia.

No. I forgot to mention that I'm using the TACOS color scheme, mostly because it has some colors for the Americas that the UCS does not.

They don't

And in any case the article on Hedjaz vilayet shows a different northern border to this one anyway.
