Zachary Taylor Lives?

On July 9th of 1850, President Zachary Taylor died (supposibly) of gastroenteritis. His death and Millard Fillmores ascention to the presidency finally allowed the Compromise of 1850 to pass, temporarily cooling tensions between the North and the South and "solving" the problem of slavery in the west.

What if Zachary Taylor had not died? Would we see a civil war a decade early?

This would lead to either the Confederacy and the Civil War a decade early and a resulting victory of Winfield Scott and his major lieutenants Grant, Jackson, and Thomas over the Confederacy or the secessionist threats being shown to be a bluff and the Civil War delayed perhaps a while longer than IOTL.
