You know, the chiefs of the shields actually were "Or, an Eagle displayed Sable langued and armed Gules, an inescutcheon of quarterly Sable and Argent." Yours is "Argent, an Eagle displayed Sable, an inescutcheon of quarterly Sable and Argent." You shouldn't be working with monochrome on a flag.

Actually I did it the wrong way round on the shield, since the conquest of the Conquest of Granada was after the PoD...
But that's nitpicking, and I agree they should be consistent.



You're right, I forgot it was specifically Aragon symbol.



I considered it but I couldn't find a good one. The one here isn't great but it will do.

Anyway, here is a revised coat of arms (I swapped supporter too for the more common one).

The Dragon was specifically an Aragonese symbol, the Eagle stood for Saint John the Evangelist, but I don't know if it had some relation with Aragon or not.

Rei d'Aragó (king of Aragon) = Rei Dragó (King Dragon) - That's the way of thinking of king Peter the Cerimonious, who made up many of those things in XIVth Century Aragon.

But, what was the animal of Portugal...?

According to things like this and this it was a green wyvern, however that seems more specific to the House of Braganza that only became the royal house in 1640, so again it seems to be an anachronism I used mistakenly. I've no idea what it was before them, under the House of Aviz.

-A flag for an Anarchist movement in Siam during the 1920s led by the revolutionary Pridi Panomyong. after a German victory in the *First World War in 1916.

-A flag for the Jehol Free State, a short lived, Japanese-backed state founded by the Mongolian Prince Yondonwangchug (Prince Yun) in 1924 after the fall of the Beiyang Government and the Japanese seizure of Shandong. It was largely dominated by the Japanese miltary under Major-General Hiro Yama, and was defeated by the army of Tang Yulin during the joint GMD-Fengtian Chahar Expedition of 1926.

-A flag for a revolutionary socialist state in Yunnan during the late 1920s.

From what I understand the Iberian kingdoms didn't really use supporters as 2 either side prior to the 1400s rather wreaths and such.

Here's my attempt at a flag No. I:

When the Spanish settled OTL Venezuela, it reminded them of the laguna of Venice, and named the region after the Italian city - Venezuela literally means "Little Venice", as does the name with which it is known in German, "Klein Venedig". This made me think: what if Venetians themselves settled the area, and what if it became independent from the Serenissima? So, i made a flag about a sovereign Venetophone state, Venièxia Nòva, located between what we know as southern Venezuela and eastern Colombia. I tried to give it a recognizably Venetian feel, using the same colours of the flag of the Most Serene Republic and giving it a tail - even if it has not the same shape of the Venetian one - while also hinting at its location (i used the "triangle at the hoist and star" motif employed by flags like the Cuban one). As for what this state would look like, i don't know (even because i have not made a timeline), but i think it would be one of the most secular states in America.

Hmm it doesn't quite look right to me.
Perhaps make the triangular hoist fully yellow and thus both tails red?
It gives me an idea for one I'll have a go at later tho

Basically, an alternate larger Jewish population in China who ASB-ish-ly establish an independent state in Oregon/Washington/BC. Capital on "Vancouver island" because I attempt to make Canada more important everywhere I go.
