That was the intention. The way I imagined it, the first flag would have been adopted by welington and his successors would have either replace it with their own or simply remove it. Eventualy the actual fascists (cruxists ?) would have adopted the "Wellington Cross" in memory of the founder of the country and their role model.

I'm going to edit the story to fit with that idea, as I like it very much.

Those flags are awesome! Tell y' what, I'm going to use the top three for the Wellington era, as they look more appropriately old-timey, and I'll use the others later. This is gonna be awesome. Thanks a lot!

I know this is a AH flag thread, but seriously, whoever made that South Korean flag is a frakkin' genius.

I would like to request an alternate Flag of Chicago, using the same general motif, but with six stars and three blue stripes. If the stars were five-pointed stars instead of six-pointed that would be great too. This is for a timeline I'm planning on starting this summer.

But the flag predates the division of Korea - it was designed in 1882. Admittedly the modern taegeuk (the swirly symbol in the centre) is more simplified than it was originally, but I seriously doubt that symbolism was intended.
