1977

• Benito Mussolini ascends to power. Introducing a Fascist Government in Italy.

1980

• Due to its government's totalitarian practices, Italy was kicked out from the EU. The Kingdom of Italy was renamed into Italian Social Empire, also known as, Fascist Italy.
• The Russian Empire resigns from the EU. The The Russo-EU war begins.
• The whole of Saharan Africa is absorbed to Italy.

1983

• Italy signed a Mutual Defence Pact with Britannia.
• Annexation of Austro-Hungary to the Italy.
• After losing the Baltics, Belarus, and western half of Ukraine to EU and Moldova to the Arabs, Russia signed a Peace Treaty to EU and Arabs.

1985

• Along with Britannia, and the Russian Empire, Italy wages war against EU.
• Partition of Poland. Russia gets the Northern Poland and the Baltics, while Italy gets Belarus, West Ukraine, and the Southern Poland(Galicia).
• Britannia, Russian, and Italy formed a coalition against their enemies.
• The fall of Ethiopia, Somalia, Bavaria, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, European Turkey, and Yugoslavia to Italian hands. Greece fell a year later.
• Britannia Conquered all the Non-Italian parts of Africa.

2011

• Czar Nicholas dies. Alexander III, a pro-EU, acsends to the throne of Russia.
• The Russian Empire defects from the Coalition.

2012

• Soldiers, and citizens who are tired of oppression, atheism, and dictatorship. Made a successful Coup against Mussolini. (Mussolini is an immortal like CC)
• Led by Feliciano Vargas (another immortal), the Holy Italian Empire is founded, with him on the throne.
• "Holy" alliance with Britannia is broken.
• Peace Treaty with the Arabs and Russia.

2013

• Italy signed a pact of steel with United States of Australia/New Holland and the Black Knights.
• Holy Britannian Empire wages war against Holy Italian Empire.
• Second Battle of El Alamein- Pyrrhic Britannian Victory. The victory was only achieved by Italian retreat (well it's because they ran out of supply, therefore it's a tactical retreat). The battle worn out the Britannian Army in Africa so much that they needed immediate reinforcements. This was only done by pulling troops (mostly reserve and battle worn divisions) from other fronts and worse, by drafting armed citizenry, these are civilian conscripts and volunteers who have little training and most probably no experience.
• Third Battle of El Alamein- Decisive Italian Victory. Although outnumbered by 2:1 and outmoralled, thanks to dwindling supplies. The Italians managed to achieve decisive victory through the use of besaglieri, guerrilla, and blitzkrieg tactics, it is so effective that they wiped out the Britannian Army (citizenry not included, most of them surrendered). The battle signifies the undisputed Italian rule of Africa.
• Italian annexation of South Africa.
• EU signed a peace treaty with Italy on Christmas day.

2018

• With the accension of Lelouch to the throne, Holy Britannian Empire signed a peace treaty with Holy Italian Empire.

Yea, this goes without saying that this TL is simply a 'bare bones' one and needs to be expanded.

How does Mussolini rise to power? What was the government before that? A Democratic one?

You know I think we are going to be expecting some sort of stand off between Lelouch's Britannia and your Holy Italian empire. The modified Zero Requentum isn't just going to involve a peace treaty because I am sure Lelouch is going to go 'I can't trust the Italian's to keep their treaty, they already broke one"

Italy is a monarchy before Mussolini, and the Italians have openly supported Lelouch. In fact they called the Ragnarok Connection "Armageddon", this is the reason they broke their treaty with Britannia. And since Lelouch wants to prevent Ragnarok Connection from happening, they support him.

This is still not yet complete enough though. It still has to be subjected to much proof reading. There will be changes here since we're quite tied to Sibirskaya's TL, and our common TL (1057-1774) still haven't progressed enough yet; plus the 1774-18?? events for the semi-cannon TL.

MAKING A REALISTIC CODE GEASS PARALLEL REALITY

Code Geass cannon has been plagued by implausibilities due to one of the reasons of its over-adherence to simplistic social analysis based on the exaggerated emphasis on the capacities of individuals to change social processes single-handedly, the so-called “Great Man” theory of history that fails into account other factors like social relations and many other factors or contexts, even if there are people that possess Geass that are also in positions of power in this parallel reality of Code Geass.

Code Geass though can be made more properly plausible using the ontology of possibilia, as David Lewis calls the universe of alternate worlds, or the multiverse of alternate universes to be more accurate, which is unimaginably vast and full of unique possibilities. All alternate universes are being actualized somewhere, within different spatio-temporal coordinates, if the principles of modal realism are to be used. Structuration theory though derives from the signal that the possibility of multiple outcomes derived from similar causal processes due to the complexity of social relations embedded into spatially differentiated contexts. People are always conscious, acting subjects, capable of doing “otherwise”. If we hold someone responsible for an action; we presume that he or she always has alternatives. Responsibility is measured by the degree of risk one takes. However, humans are also products of their surroundings, as individuals live through the life long process of socialization. In forming their biographies every single day, people unintentionally reproduce and transform their social worlds, which would mean that social relations continually escape the intentions of their creators. In this way, by using the structuration theory, the macrostructures of social relations can be applied to the microstructures of everyday life. Unlike epic conflicts that occupy Code Geass then, contingencies to this view is produced continuously through daily life, not just through decisive military battles, thus making things more accurate.

In applying it, it would mean that the perspective is that it reveals how the present that is historically constructed may be likely, arbitrary or accidental but it is never pre-ordained. Using the concept of temporal inevitability could be of help though in terms of making things more familiar and look pre-ordained, but must be backed up with good data and reasoning. It could be of help also to interlock temporal inevitability not only with modal realism but with Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics that holds that there are multiple outcomes for any particular observation, introducing a component of unpredictability at the most fundamental sub-atomic level; thus giving a good backing to the introduction of events or people that shouldn’t have been there and yet they are there.

Contemporary chaos theory also reveals much of the same conclusion as the uncertainty principle, that the “arrow of time” is not unidirectional, that causality can never be separated from context. Chaos or complexity theory applies equations that states that the impacts of small, seemingly trivial events can be magnified over time, creating ripples that produce large and unpredictable consequences. Chaos does not mean anarchy, but rather that it means indeterminancy.

All in all, to solve the implausibility case of Code Geass in the strictest and the greatest possibly realistic of terms in applying an alternate history scenario, healthy dosages of the application of theories around in science fiction and alternate history must be applied with care. The creation of a more plausible Code Geass parallel scenario cannot be made strictly by using only one theory or principle. Other theories and principles must be taken in account with this.

It is also human nature to be free.

Ultimately, while one can hold onto power through the use of force for awhile, they will fall as they go against human nature and people revolt against them.

Men, in his state of nature, tend to split into seeking two objectives: First, is to seek freedom. Second is to create organized societies and thus establish institutions of governance, but these two objectives tend to collide on many occasions, leading to outcomes where dangerous groups can took over and then take these two objectives to the extremes, like anarchists on the former and fascists on the latter. Generally though, the only kind of society or state that can out compete others in a perfect market are those where people are generally free and don’t feel that their governing bodies to be an existential threat.

Liberal regimes are the best kind of socio-political regimes because they are regimes that are most stable and lasting and also most likely to become rich and thus being more capable of projecting power and values. The combination of these means results in that in a competitive market of states for long term existence, they eventually win out.

The main point of stability is the “safety valve” factor. The amount of anger that would build up to a revolution or civil war is released way before that point is being reached through the opportunities for leadership changes like regular and fair elections.

As far as I know, Immortals know one another, Feliciano and C.C. are acquaintances.

How they became Immortal is pretty obvious, they signed a contract to their contractor.
Feliciano's Contractor is Mussolini, Mussolini's contractor is a mystery, the truth dies with him.
