WI Bonshin war ended in Shogunate victory
So here is my question. WI instead of imperialist forces winning the forces of Tokugawa Yohinobu defeat the imperialist faction. Say Meiji and the other leaders are executed. With Yoshinobu in power how differently would Japan have developed?

Well, Meiji probably wouldn't be exicuted he would just go back to having as little power as he did during the Shogunates prime. That being said the Shogunate sold its soul to France so the French Empire will have a powerful hold over Japan. Japan certainly won't be the Imperial power it was in OTL, that is for sure.
