There are an internal crisis of Republic Spain , in march 1938 Republic Spain lose support by Urss were Stalin is not agreed to continue support @ Republic Spain. An armistice of 27 april of 1938 close the conflict and most of people that have fighted for Republic Spain looking for refuge in France or in Urss.

Where is the difference from the OTL war? This one is slightly shorter, ok, less destruction, less dead, I guess. Does this fact have any consequence in the future events?

Agreed. Although the war would have probably been shorter, I can't really see any future events shaping up. I don't really see Franco fighting for the Axis or anything like that. However, it would be interesting to think, if Republican Spain would have won the Spanish Civil War. I wonder what would have happened if Franco had lost?
Assuming Spain still declared neutrality in WW2, I wonder how Germany and Italy would have taken the loss of a Fascist revolution. Conversely, I wonder how Stalin would have taken the victory of Republican forces
