WI: Max and Juarez Together!
How could we continue the reign of the Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico? The main opposition group to his rule of course was President Juarez whose liberal rebels conducted a fierce guerilla campaign against the Imperial Rule. Though also Maximilian was also a well known liberal himself (even putting forward several reforms that Juarez wanted), he offered to Juarez a position as Prime Minister if he would give up his opposition to his rule.
What if Juarez had accepted Max's offer?
