Put "death_cause" in the code. That works at least for ones that are "Infobox person" ones. I don't know if it works for any others.

I don't think the musician infobox has a cause of death tab.

Are you doing it with an "Infobox Person" one, or some other one, like "Infobox Musician"? Because the one I mentioned only works for "Infobox Person".

I liked the Custer info-box I forget though, did he get awareded the Medal of Honor? Nice work even on the fictional medals. I like the War of Secession medal how it was half blue half grey. Maybe he could also have the Order of Remembrance Anyway just wanted to say that

Thanks. I just used the OTL Civil War Service Medal for the "War of Secession" Medal. For the Medal of Honor, it wasn't mentioned that he'd won it on the Turtledove Wiki and considering that in order to get it, you'd need to be a fanatical, batshit crazy soldier (Gordon McSweeney) or kill Dixie Hitler (Cassius, although he was ineligible to get it due to not being a US citizen), I'd think Custer wouldn't be up for it. According to the wiki, the Order of Remembrance is only for civilians, so Custer definitely wouldn't get it.

I'm guessing the only states which go Republican are AK, ID, WY, UT, NE (minus 2), KS, OK, TX, AR, LA, KY, TN, MS, and AL. Do WV and SD go Democratic here? They're probably the least likely 2008 Republican-won states to flip among states which I'm assuming went Democratic in this hypothetical election.

No, this wouldn't be the worst case for the Republicans. In this scenario the Republicans would probably realize that swinging to the far right is not the way to win an election (just ask David Cameron)

No, it's saying he was a Republican before the election! Apparently, he got thrown out of the Democratic party last year because he'd disappointed so many of them? But, apparently, he made his way back.

Maybe it's from a timeline where he was elected as a Republican, but then defected to the Democrats for 2012.

Hmm. If he's always been a Republican, then if we want his background to be the same, we'd need the Chicago political machine to be Republican. (Note that the infobox still places him from Illinois.) That'd change so much that I think it'd butterfly away at least half our modern politicians.

Another idea I had is that he gets his start in local Chicago politics, as a reformer - a Republican who cleans up the machine. That would give him a lot more substantiation for his message of "change"; I'm pretty sure he could make the jump directly from mayor of Chicago to President.
