Welcome to the new AlternateHistory.com discussion board! You'll notice that it's fairly different from the old board. Similar topics, but shiny new software! Some important changes and things to remember:

- To access the old board, click the "Old Board Archive" forum on the main page.

- There is now a "chat" forum for off-topic chat. HOWEVER the rules of civil behavior, including no denigrating other peoples' political views, are still in effect.

- Click on "User CP" (upper left) to set your personal options. This includes the order of messages within threads (oldest first or newest first), and the number of messages per page in a thread. So you can use this if you prefer the newest-messages-first order of the old board.

- Personal messages (PMs) are now supported. So you can send a direct, personal message to another board member. Harassing PMs will not be tolerated, remember that the administrator can read them if someone complains.

- You can add other posters to an "ignore list" (killfile) if you really don't want to see their messages.

- You can click the exclamation mark on the upper right corner of an objectionable post to report it to the administrator. Please THINK before using this option.
