What if Hitler won?

What would the world be like if Hitler (and his generals) had won WW11? Would the world today simply be another 1940 Germany, only world wide? Or, would one of the many death threats have come through? Would we be living in a 1984 scenario? Or, would it be completely different? What do you think?

I'm not too sure you're really interested in the answers people will give you, but here is mine:

I think you should consult the Search function . This topic has been discussed in length in a multitude of threads, and they could address this query far better than I might hope to. Anyway, welcome to the board.

Define 'won'.

If you mean actually conquering half the Soviet Union, defeating Britain and the US and creating the New World Order, then you want the ASB forum.

Personally, you're pushing it to simply have the Third Reich survive.

It depends entirely on the circumstances in which he won.

And even then you can't give a definitive answer for more than, say, a couple of decades at most. Look at how much the world could've turned out different after World War 2 by some other POD -- the same would apply for an Axis victory scenario too.

This is not realistic, but it's pretty terrifying nonetheless.

Alright...that's the worst of all nightmares. Even AFAIK The Man in the High Castle and In the Presence of Mine Enemies never mentioned about Slavs and Blacks being domesticated or souvenir shop selling Jewish body parts...

World War11? At least make it look like a 2 or a II.

Guess it depends entirely upon how he won, and how much territory he controlled. If he still maintained control of mainland Europe i am sure that much of the 'minority' population would cease to exist.

That's harder than you think, and already places alot of limits on the Hitler that can do that. It requires a much different Hitler and Nazi Germany, with less barbaric and more constructive goals. It needs good government, not the very worst kind, dictatorship.

And, the US can't be beaten, because of new MAD from those fine new nuclear weapons that they can't possibly beat the US to.

I recommend looking at my Hitler's Republic TL, linked below.
