The Best-Case Scenario for the Crusaders...?
Just wondering, what would be the best outcome for the Crusades against the Muslims, using the PODs no earlier than 1096...?
The survival of strong Crusader states into present day? The establishment of Christianity as a major religion in Middle East? The complete collapse of Islamic civilization and its subjugation to the Christendoms?

Probably the Christian taking, and holding of the holy land along with several other places they attacked, and the downfall of the large Islamic empires.

Ruling over Egypt and the Levant would be the best possible scenario for the Crusaders.

I think the Crusades would just stick to the Holy Land, taking and holding modern day Isreal and Lebanon. Except the Crusaders of the Fourth, who would have stayed in Constantinople! |

But might these change if, in their homeland, they are converted to nestorian Christianity or to a new-born monotheistic religion similar to Islam???

I wonder if these states will be affected by the reformation.

They gradually assimilate with the local populations over time. After several hundred years most of the Levant is ruled by a mostly arabic christian aristocricy, possesses a large christian minority, and a contented plurality of Sunni's, Shia, Druze, and Jews
