Alphonso XII becomes King of Spain in 1868 : no Franco-Prussian War?

The whole thing that seems to have led to the Franco-Prussian War was the fact that, after the Spanish Revolution of 1868 (La Gloriosa) and the overthrow of Isabella II, the Spanish offered the crown to a Hohenzollern Prince. In the end, the Hohenzollern prince refused, but a mess of events followed and the Franco-Prussian war happened.

However, in 1868, the Spanish first thought of having Alphonso XII succeed his mother as King of Spain to clear things up. Yet, many feared Isabella would have a bad influence on the boy, so the plan was given up.
The crown eventually ended up in the end of Amadeo of Savoy who ruled two years before the First Spanish republic came around. After two years, the Republic collapsed and Alphonso XII became King of Spain in 1874.

But what if the Spanish had finally decided to have Alphonso XII as their King in 1868?
Could that butterfly away the Franco-Prussian War? If so, what would be the consequences of this in Europe?

Well, that would butterfly away the Franco-Prussian War, true; but since Prussia had by this time dominated the German states the fear of unification still loomed.

Plus, Bismarck is still around, so Germany is still likely to unify.

But even without France-Prussian war, in the end Germany didn't unite the same? After all, the victory of 1866 could be sufficient to padvance towards German unity... Sure, i guess it will become more liberal than OTL...
