Saladin and the Third Crusade.

Saladin really pushes and manages to capture Antioch, Tyre, Tripoli, and pretty much all of Latin Syria/Palestine before the armies of the Third Crusade arrive at Acre. Even if Acre is recaptured, how does this afffect the outcome of the crusade, since the siege of Acre lasted such a long time?
