Alright. People who didn't exist IOTL are not allowed. I agree with you now.

Well then, I officially throw my support behind "In the Footsteps of Illustrious Men".

Sunday looms and we need a new challenge before the dawn's rosy fingers rouse us from our sleep with their gentle yet mildly intrusive caress!

Feel free to just post a list of the challenge suggestions you like without any comment, and remember you can nominate as many suggestions as you like - just be sure to embolden the titles so they stand out.

The Locked Country
Make a map showing a country which has cut itself off from the rest of the world, similar to feudal Japan under the doctrine of Sakoku, or North Korea in more recent times. The map may be from the perspective of outside observers - either showing what they know about the country or speculating as to its internal structure - or it may be a map of the country from its own perspective.
That's the one I think would be the most interesting as it provides so many different opportunities for the skilled map maker...

But anyway, great maps this last round, I've really enjoyed reading and looking at them, and a special thank you to Krall for running these fantastic competitions.

I forgot to embolden the title previously.

I hereby officially support Il Risorgimento.

Well you quoted it, which was enough. Provided there's an emboldened title in your post, it's fine.

We are aware of this; you do not need to continually remind us.

The only challenge that's gotten more than one nomination so far is "L'État, c'est Moi", and that's only gotten two. I'd like to reiterate that you can express support for as many challenge suggestions as you like, and if you rank your preferences (e.g. you want "L'État, c'est Moi" but would be okay with "Il Risorgimento") I will take it into account.

Actually, In the Footsteps of Illustrious Men got two.

Hmm. Okay then, L'État, c'est Moi is my second choice, (even though I haven't thought of anything for it yet).

Ah, I forgot to count the original proposer, so that is true. Sorry about that.

Sunday has passed, but I will be sure to post the new challenge thread on Monday.

At the moment the most popular challenge seems to be "L'État, c'est Moi" - who's in favour and who would much prefer another challenge?

If the challenge is widened to accommodate any OTL leader, not just monarchs, then I would support it. If not, then I would prefer mine.

No. My challenge includes several other things. L'Etat c'est Moi doesn't.

It includes non-monarchs; what I meant is that the revision you suggested would make it your challenge, and so the two things you suggested are the same.

Does it? I thought it excluded non-monarchs...
