I will start off....

Robert E. Lee
Military hero of the U.S. Civil War and one of the Founding Fathers of the CSA. In 1867, Lee won the election to succeed Jefferson Davis as President of the CSA. Under Lee's Presidency, the Railroad Construction and Confederate Judiciary Acts became law and a Constitional Amendment was ratified for the manumission of black slaves in the CSA which included a clause that all blacks born on January 1, 1872 and thereafter will be free. The last slave would be manumitted by 1879.

Ulysses S. Grant
Regarded by historians as one of the worst military leaders for the Union, General Grant resigned from the Army in disgrace in 1865 and died an alcoholic in 1868.

Andrew Johnson
Senator and military governor of Tennessee during the Civil War, Johnson was President Abraham Lincoln's running mate for the unsuccessful 1864 National Unity ticket. Johnson was able to prevent Tennessee from joining the Confederacy after the Civil War (Kentucky did vote to join the CSA in 1866). During President McClellan's second term, Johnson served as US Secretary of State. After McClellan left office in 1873, Johnson returned to the Senate in 1874 and served until his death a year later.

William Jennings Bryan
Founder of the Populist Party in 1891 and the first from that party elected President of the United States in 1896. The recession and popularity of free silver resulted in his victory over incumbent President Grover Cleveland and Liberty Party nominee Ohio Governor William McKinley. As President, Bryan lowered tariffs on food by 30 percent and succeeded in passing landmark agrarian reforms. Reelected by a landslide in 1900. Assassinated in Brooklyn, NY by anarchist Emma Goldman in 1902.

Benjamin Tillman
Senator from South Carolina who founded the Agrarian Reform Party in 1894 as opposition to the Democratic Party's domination by the planter aristocracy (Bourbon Democrats). Tillman and his running mate, Georgia Governor Tom Watson, were elected President and Vice President of the CSA in 1897.

A Negro with a relatively unknown back round he came into Popular attention in the 1870s when he emerged as the leader of the largest Maroon bands in the confederacy. Under his leadership the band came to number in the tens of thousands and controlled much of the southern Appalachians. Was killed in 74 during a raid upon the CSA's main artillery Foundry in Georgia. Despite his unfortunate death his troops still managed to seize a large quantity of Powder, Shot and half a dozen light Artillery pieces which proved quite useful in the siege of Little Rock.

Judah P. Benjamin: British born Confederate politician, 2nd Secretary of War, 3rd Secretary of State, and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Confederate States of America (1866-1884). Noteworthy for gaining British/French support for Confederate sovereignty.

Joseph E. Johnston

Military hero of the Civil War/Southern War of Independence and the Mexican-Confederate War most notable for his defense of Georgia in 1864 that led to Lincoln's electorial defeat and his capture of Mexico City in 1877. General-in-Chief (1879-1891) overseeing the military occupation of Chihuahua and Sonora, also overseeing the Spanish-Confederate War. President of the Mississippi Steel Company (1886-1890). Died May 12th 1893 aged 86.
