Less effective Deutsche Wochenschau = shorter WW2?

Hitler made no public speeches after 1943. It is no exaggeration to say that it was Goebbel's speeches and the work of his Propaganda Ministry that stiffened German resolve immeasurably in the face of retreats on all fronts 1943-45. So much stiffening, that in OTL the Nazis literally had to be fought all the way to the Fuhrerbunker.

The greatest of his the Reichsministerium fur Volksaufklahrung und Propaganda's tools was the Deutsche Wochenschau. As can be seen from its excellent footage, fanatically patriotic baritone commentary, and inspiring music eg when shown the footage of the Battles of Arnhem & the Bulge, even at that stage of the war, the German populace was convinced that they were literally winning.

The question is: WI the PK crews were less effective, dedicated & inspired, like the pathetic British Pathe News, so that there's less resolve to fight ie with a less efective Goebbels & his minions, would the war have been shorter?

Surely British Pathe News was simply more objective rather than pathetic ?

People concerned with words vastly inflate their importance. Unless you've the right market, they're as futile as trying to sell a bacon sandwich to an ulta-orthodox Jew. The Germans kept on fighting not because of propaganda but because of a highly developed police system, a general adherence to the aims of the regime, and the feeling that there was no alternative- if the Russians turned up at your door, they (quite understandably) weren't there to arrange goodwill cultural tours of the Bolshoi Ballet.
