Arafat dies in a plane crash
Yasser Arafat survives the crash of a passenger plane in the Libyan desert during a sandstorm and is treated in the hospital of Misratah/Libya. Three crew members are killed in crash.
"...In 1992, on his way to Libya, his plane crashed in the desert. The entire crew was killed, but no trace could be found of Arafat, who was finally discovered the next day -- alive..." [From http://weekly.ahram.org.eg/2004/715/re16.htm] So, WI Arafat dies in that fatal plane crash? |

Maybe less trouble for the Israelis in Gaza and the rest of occupied Palestine?

well the Oslo Peace doesn't break down (hopefully) and Palestinians get the 2000 Clinton peace plan and get 100% of Gaza and 95% of the West bank and things are much better, plus the PA doesn't loose 3 billion dollars to Arafat

I think I see where you're coming from here, but I'm kinda lost about the three billion dollars.

Yup. He took international aid money meant to improve Palestinian infrastructure and funneled it into Swiss bank accounts.

Better than they are now quite possibly in terms of fighting, but the 2000 deal wasn't exactly all that great for the Palestinians. In their position I'm not I would of signed up to it.
