A Transdimensional Switch: Halo meets Marvel

Earth 626
The Flood are the most destructive force in the Universe, unstoppable as long as intelligent thought persists, or so we learned. The disappearance of the Brood was at first thought to be a blessing. The Kree immediately went about colonizing former Brood worlds only to discover that they had replaced by something far more devious. That was in 1970 now its 2009 and we of Earth are the last bastion of known life. Our super humans have been sent to the source of the Flood, one of the many worlds of the multiverse. As cities fall we try day after day to end this virus. Hopefully the Avengers get back in time to help us. Its our only hope. God speed Avengers, god speed.

The Brood first came to the attention of the UNSC when Naxox fell to them. The Brood use a system of laying eggs in hosts to grow the young ones and provide sustenance, the Brood by the end of the year the Brood had taken all of Palamok, home to the Yanme'e, and its satellites prompting the Covenant to take action. However that only led to the spread of the Brood, many a soldier would return to their ships only to find that they were playing host to a Brood egg. Whole Hives were founded in such a fashion, spreading its influence. 10 years later the Covenant had developed into Isolationist planetary states ruled by xenophobic leaders who attempted to be totally self sufficient. The UNSC took note and began to prepare for the Brood. However now that the Brood-Human War has begun we dont know what the outcome could be.

In the Halo universe one, when did the Brood arrive in the universe?
And what exactly are they? From what you've described they sound like Xenomorphs with longer incubation periods.

The Brood arrive in the Halo Universe right after the Human-Covenant War ends. The Avengers are composed of most of the West Coast Avengers.

The Avengers
Ben Grimm: AKA the Thing, Grimm is the leader of the Avengers.
Human Torch: The android.
Flatman: Doctor Val Ventura was one of the few to survive the Flood.
The Captain: Steve Rodgers wears a black uniform in honor of those who were killed by the Flood.
Wolverine: The last survivor from the universe where the Flood dominated, he lost a large part of his humanity

They're screwed. Humanity's been reduced to a remnant, the Elites have lost half of their entire race, and the rest of Covenant has been eradicated. If the humans and elites can evacuate to the Ark and blow the Rings, then they might survive....
