Bioshock: After the End

As you may know, the Bioshock series supposes this: What if an ambitious Objectivist (Andrew Ryan) built an "Utopian" metropolis (Rapture) in the bottom of the Atlantic? If one were to put it in AH lines, its POD could be 1946/47 with the city's founding.

The very existence of Rapture, let alone its (in)famous denizens, could cause butterflies. Regardless of how successful they were in keeping the secret. Early in the first game, Ryan hinted of being aware of the CIA, KGB or other agencies possibly infiltrating his creation. In addition, if the BS2 viral is to be believed, the disappearance of several like-minded people would surely attract someone else's attention.

What do you think would happen then to world events after the end of BS1 and 2?
