WI Dick Lamm '96?

In 1996 Ross Perot originally did not run for the candidacy of the Reform Party, instead inviting others to step up. The only person who threw his hat into the ring was former Colorado governor Richard "Dick" Lamm. However, Perot contested Lamm for the Reform Party candidacy when he found out that only he could get federal matching funds and Perot won the primary. This divided the Reform Party and resulted in the party splintering.

So, what if Perot does not contest Lamm's candidacy and Dick Lamm is the Reform Party candidate for 1996. Would united Reform Party support and Perot's success in 1992 be enough to give the Reform Party more success in '96?

Well, unlike in 1992, the networks wouldn't run Perot's broadcasts, despite Perot paying for them.
