US Homefront World War 2 1942

Looking for info, sites, books, etc. on the US Homefront in 1942.

What I'm looking for is emergency plans, how civil defenses were set up, and how emergency situations would be handled, say if Japan began invading the West Coast.

This is apart of a large reaearch effort I'm doing to write a couple of stories set in 1942.
