Challenge:How keep this style in late 60s.

How this musical style (or similar) could be popular in late 60s?
1-Richard Nixon elected in 1960 and nothing Vietnam war?
2-No JFK shot in Dallas and nothing Vietman war?
3- Like 1 or 2 and street fatality for four Liverpool boys in Hamburg in 1960?
