Nazi German Uniform in 1970?

So this is my first thread here, please bide with me.

Let's say for whatever reason, Nazi Germany wins or atleast settles for a stalemate in WW2 against the Soviets and the Wallies. A 3-way Cold War develops between Capitalism, National Socialism and Communism, with a plethora of proxy wars in Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. I'm interested as to what the Wehrmacht's uniform would look like during this decade.

In my opinion, they would be equipped with some sort of ALICE gear or even a early version of MOLLE, since military technology would no doubt progress at a more rapid rate. They would no doubt keep the Stahlhelm as it is a symbolic icon of German militarism.

What do you think?

The only way I can see this happening is if the Ghost of Roehm has assumed power and his fanatical minions have come to dominate Wehrmacht. Consequently, I envision the standard issue Nazi uniform involving a a black leather mini skirt, a fishnet vest, and lots of badly applied eyeliner. And Roehm's uber stylish SA Kepi. I think that Roehm's minions would want to keep the party in the Nazi Party.

Platform jackboots?
Yes, of course platform jackboots.

Stupid medallions with skulls and thunderbolts on them?
I think these would work--the ghost of Roehm would just eat these up.

Stahlhelms with gold. Goering would insist on them.
Yes, but only with the spring ensemble, though.

:D

Field gear would be camouflage, no question about it. Parade uniforms would probably follow the same general theme of black and silver with occult-ish symbols that the SS had.

XD

But it would probably depend on the personal style of whoever the Fuehrer was... *suddenly imagines 77-year old Goering dressed like Louis XIV*

....I see you all shiver in antici........Pation.
We're all just sweet Transvestites, From Munich..Germany.....

seriously though, I imagine the parade/dress uniforms would be more stylized version of the orignal WWII uniforms.

for combat, I'm not to sure.

yes this are NVA Uniform of GDR !

the Helmet are Versuchsmuster „B/II“ for new helmet for Wermacht
Project began 1943 but never complet until 1945
the Prototype were basis for NVA troops Helmet in 1956

the NVA uniform had same color and form like wehrmacht uniforms
is very possible that 1956 Wehrmacht uniform would look simelar

by the way, the Compay who made the Uniform for SS was Hugo Boss
and that is no joke !

I partially agree about the NVA uniforms - it's kind of ironic but when the DDR started to cook them up they seriously attempted to stay in the Wehrmacht's tradition. ;)

The only part I'm sceptical about is the shape of the helmets. I'd wager that these would rather look closer to the 'classical' designs.

I think they would certainly wear camouflage in the field, and probably upgrade their helmet to something a little more modern. As you suggest, the Stahlhelm might be reserved for military parades and the like, to maintain the rich military traditions of the Third Reich.
