No 'Bladensburg races' in 1814

Just read an article in a wargaming mag on this 1814 total defeat & rout of US forces during the War of 1812- but WI the 6,000 US regulars, militia, sailors & Marines hadn't been routed by the 2,500-strong British force ?

Depends if they retreat in good order, if so then raid Baltimore or somewhere else.
