Alternate wife for George IV

Myabe he could mary one of the daughters of King Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia? Here is the list:

1. Marie Elizabeth Charlotte, (1752-1753)
2. Marie Josephine Louise (1753-1810)
3. Marie Therese (1756-1805)
4. Marie Anne (1757-1824)
5. Marie Christine Josephine (1760-1768)
6. Marie Caroline Antoniette (1764-1782)

Does anybody see a patern there. I'm going to write a timeline over this with this as the PoD. The son of Victor Amadeus became the Jacobite claiment to the throne when the Cardinal Duke of York, Henry, dies in 1807. Maybe we could have Marie Christine Josephine live past the age of 8 and marry the Prince of Wales during the 1790's.

Depends on how fast and convincingly lady in question Apostasized(sp?). You see there is this little thing called the Act of Settlement....

HTG

The Act of Settlement would ensure Georgie Porgie married a protestant. Going by the general Hanoverian pattern it would in all probability be a daughter of a German Princeling.

Previous Hanoverian Queens included Sophia Dorothea of Celle (George I), Caroline of Ansbach (George II), Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (George III). George's brothers also followed the same path and his sisters in law include Adelaide of Saxe-Menigen (William IV), Frederica of Prussia (Duke of York), Victorie of Saxe -Coburg (Duke of Kent), Princess Frederica of Mecklenberg-Strelitz (Duke of Cumberland), Princess Augusta of Hesse-Cassel (Duke of Cambrige). The Duke of Sussex married a catholic noblewomen in contravention of the royal marriages act.

German Princelings apart the only protestant royalty around was Scandanavia. George III's sister Caroline Matilda was an unhappy Queen of Denmark (the King Christian VII was quite mad), so maybe George IV could have married his cousin Princess Louise Augusta. However, she was rumored to have been illegitimate and had one mad and one manic depressive parent, so the marriage would'nt have been a great improvement over Caroline of Brunswick.

Perhaps he gets adventures and nobs a Russian orthodox princess?
