AH Challenge: Norwegian Congo!

Inspired by zis thread.

So how can we, with a pre-1900 POD, end up with a Norwegian Congo?

Norway is still bound with Sweden at this point. So, perhaps have Stanley get funded by the Swedish King? Really, it comes down to who funds Stanley's big trek across the Congo. Then have the Swedish government establish a colony there, with concessions to Britain in some form or another. By the time of the Berlin Conference, Sweden's mandate is approved and confirmed. It'd be helped if Sweden tried to have more prominence in world affairs, so that they'd be considered in the first place.

^Above.

If you want it to be Norway-only, the best way is for the above to occur, then have Norway attempt to secede but Sweden forcefully preventing it(as if Norway was allowed to leave peacefully, Sweden would most likely retain the colony). Following this, Britain would need to step in on Norway's side and ensure Norways independance.

With that, its just possible Norway may pick up the colony, though most likely Sweden would retain it or alternatively Britain takes it.

Or, a more radical idea, maybe Sweden-Norway takes it and then revolution occurs in Sweden, but the navy/colonies side with the king and he moves to still-loyal Norway?
