The monkey bite that never happened

On October 2 1920, King Alexander of Greece was bitten by two monkeys in the Royal Gardens while walking his pet dog. Both monkeys were found to be diseased after they were destroyed, and On 25 October 1920 King Alexander died at Athens, of sepsis.

Often called the bite that changed history, resulting in the return of King Constantine I from his exile. The effects of such were the dismissal of the pro-Venizelos military officers with war experience for political reasons, underestimating the capabilities of the Turkish army, and the great powers declaring their neutrality. Greece lost the war with Turkey, lost all gains from Kind Alexander's time, the Megali Idea was destroyed, and a large forced population transfer happened between the two sides, as well huge amounts of death.

Winston Churchill would later write that "it was a monkey bite that caused the death of those 250,000 people."

But, what if Alexander was not bite by the monkeys? what if he lived to survive another day to continue the war, and even have Venizelos stay in power as prime minister. It could be very interesting to see how this effects the Balkans and Asian minor.
