Jewish Japan
As long as we're talking about countries becoming majority Jewish, how about Japan? Please, no Ten Tribes theories; just ideas on the plausibility of the Japanese adopting some form of Judaism as a majority religion. One POD might be Jews entering through the Dutch trading port at Nagasaki; they might have been seen as useful both for valuable skills and as a counterweight to Christianity.

Pursia had a strong Jewish connection, but I just don't see how it could possibly get into isolationist Japan.
