Make this list of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom come true (Doctor Who-based PMs must remain true to their character, but no ASB stuff):

1963-1970: Sir Alec Douglas-Home (Conservative)
1970-1973: Jeremy Thorpe (Liberal)
1974-1979: Shirley Williams (Labour)
1979-1990: Margaret Thatcher (Conservative)
1990-1992: John Major (Conservative)
1992-1997: Tony Blair (Labour)
1997-1998: Joseph Green (Conservative)
1998-2005: Harriet Jones (Conservative)
2005-current: Harold Saxon (Labour)

Mostly ASB.

I can see Douglas-Home somehow winning in 1964, but why only till 1970? Terms are usually four years so either till 1968, or something similar to Wilson possibly.

Thorpe is highly unlikely, especially as he appears a blip. Even with a 1970 hung parliament, then the largest party usually takes PM spot. I can't see either Heath or Wilson (Or DH or Wilson) saying, "Thorpe, join a coalition and we'll give you PM spot."
