Read some Cracked today.

Women in Switzerland didn't have the right to vote until 1959. They didn't get the right to vote in federal elections until 1971. In Appenzell Ausserrhoden canton, they didn't get the right to vote until 1990.

Well now it doesn't seem so strange.

But seriously, Switzerland, 1959?

Doesn't really work. They're essentially Inner and Outer Appenzell.

None that I'm aware of, the sole thing I could think of would be the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, but every other Muslim country, including Azerbaijan recognizes Armenia, so I don't know.

Perhaps it's a case of Pakistan having feelings of 'Islamic solidarity' towards Turkey, bearing in mind the historical problems between Armenians and Turks and how un-fond of religious minorities Pakistani governments have often been since independence?

Yeah I know, after all it is also "rhoden" and not "Hoden", but it is so easy just to miss out the third r and read Hoden, which leads to it becoming hilarious

Azerbaijan recognises Armenia? Really?

Or do they just have no relations?

I think it's a case of 'we recognise you as independent, within the boundaries of the former Armenian SSR. Not anything else'.

Basically this, Azerbaijan recogfnizes Armenia as an Independent state, they just don't represent the Armenian attempt to illegally annex a large chunk of their country by proxy.
