There is an exclave inside of an exclave.

Madha is an Omani exclave inside of the UAE; and Nahwa is an UAE exclave inside of Madha.

That can be topped: it isn't singular, there are several exclaves inside enclaves around the world of today.

That's really the sort of transfer one would expect of allies, not enemies.
A neat side note on it is at the bottom of that page it mentions it being a main part of the S. M. Stirling Nantucket series where she visits the island and is transported back to 1250 BC with the island too. She even travels to England in the ISOT.

So a ship that look like alternate history is featured in a work of alternate history

The India/Bangladesh border's ridiculousness is exemplified if you've actually met people from Bengal: a lot of them just identify as "Bengali" and don't really pay attention to the distinction between India and Bangladesh anyway.

Here is a map of one area of the Indian-Bangladeshi craziness.

I've read that a lot of them live in tiny villages that are enclaves within enclaves...etm. and they can't leave due to border guards at some of them.

It's pretty wild, eh? I've tried finding better maps of the situation, but it's difficult. Evidently, while it has some huge problems for thousands of families, it doesn't seem to be a high priority of those governments.

Here's a map that shows less, but tells more.

I think it means like Utah/Colorado/Arizona/New Mexico's quadripoints. A point that borders 4 distinct areas.
That's the only use of the word 'quadripoint' I've ever heard, anyway. Seems kind of trivial on that map, really.
