IE won't work. Help!

No internet window opens when I double click the IE shortcut, click on the program in start.

Yeah, you might want to do what czarist said, its free and is pretty good. Oddly I don't use it though ! Except where I need a more up to date version of IE than 5.5 in order to view some pages which use newer codes. IE6 like Netscape 6 was just too heavy, too memory intensive and thus slow. Mozilla seems to be free of a lot of that.

I'm intrigued as to why/how IE is failing to work at all ? Does it open a white window with no content, or does nothing happen at all, the shortcut icon just goes highlighted ? In which case, hmmm...

Erm...how exactly is 47 supposed to download Firefox if IE doesn't work? Like trying to open the strongbox with the crowbar inside it.

I was told I could access it thru DOS. It's a club computer (can't download programs without admin password). They'll get it fixed, I'd like to know in case it happens to my home pc.
