Archduke Ludwig Victor (1842-1919) was the youngest brother of Emperor Francis Joseph I of Austria.
The Archduke did not marry. Who shall marry Ludwig Victor?

His mother, the Archduchess Sophie, tried to marry Ludwig Victor to Duchess Sophie in Bavaria.
This Sophie was the Empress Elisabeth's younger sister.
If Ludwig Victor had married Sophie, her sister Elisabeth would have been his sister-in-law twice.
