Cortes Goes South

Is it possible for Hernan Cortes, after he conquered Mexico, to go South, and get himself selected as the leader to conquer the Inca?

If Cortes lead such an expedition, would he also conquer the Inca Empire, just like Pizzaro did? Would he have failed, would the conquest be easier, or would it just be the same under his leadership?

He would have gone for the Mayans

When Pizzaro attacked the Incans he was the guy at the right time and right place just like Cortes with the Aztecs

Pizarro and Cortes were distinctly related, what if the two gold addicts crossed paths ?

If Cortes went to Panama instead of hanging out in Cuba, he might have heard the rumors of the Inca and gone south. The fact remains though, the Spanish were raiding the Yucatan, and getting hints of the Aztecs and other Mesoamerican societies long before the Inca. The fact the Triple Alliance and other polities existed helped convince others to sign on to Pizarro's scheme to find other "empires of gold." So it's a slim to none chance Cortes would have found any investors or even be interested for that matter when more concrete evidence existed of kingdoms to the north.

Also Cortes and Pizarro knew each other long before they were famous. They were cousins after all. Many of the conquistadors also fought together when looting the Caribbean before, and for the older ones back during the Reconquista.
