Urgent Help [kinda]
Alright, so for the past WEEK I have been working diligently, gathering dates and times from three different fictional universes. For the last two days, I have been working extremely hard to intertwine them into one continuity.
Two of them fit together quite nicely, but the 3rd I cannot seem to fit in without being to ridiculous. I don't want to drop it from the project, but cannot keep it in the same time range as the others (20th Century), and it will be written in the format of a 21st century writer, so for obvious reasons I can't carry things to far past 2000. Any ideas to fix my dilemma? Last edited by randomideaguy; November 8th, 2009 at 04:37 AM.. |

First of all, no need to swear and second it would help if you actually let people know what they would be helping you about.

I am working on a story to combine Portal, Bioshock, and Fallout into one continuity. Portal and Bioshock fit together much nicer than I anticipated, but Fallout is almost impossible to connect to them.

Sounds good, but why are you set on it being from a 21st century PoV?
IMO, go for a 22nd or 23rd century writer. Then you can have Rapture founded a century later (IMHO, increasing plausibility greatly) and have Aperture start by making shower curtains for the Vaults. Then they both drop into Fallout neatly. If that's no good for you, you need to do some serious AH work of your own, because Fallout as-is won't fit. I'd say you'd have to have a much more serious Cold War. Maybe a limited exchange of nuclear weapons soon after USSR gets the capability. A different ending to WW2 might be advisable. A different space race is a necessity and might provide a suitable spark. If you want pursue that further, i might be able to come up with some more ideas, but i need to get on with my day.
