AHC: Have Brazil win the 2014 World Cup.

Four things need to happen
1. Neymar not injured
2. Low does not move Lahm back to right back but leaves him in midfield so the German defence is more porous.
3. David Luiz remembers that he is supposed to be a centre half not a midfielder and plays accordingly.
4. In the Brazil -Argentina final Messi misfires as he did against Germany OTL.

Brazil reached OTL the semi-finals,you would only need a pov in the Germany-Brazil game.....
Make the germans lose their chances and Brazil can qualify.....
After all there is no need for the better team to win as my country's national team knows very well(euro 2004).....

Maybe also have a team not dependent on Neymar? Robinho, Kaka and Ronaldiho in the lineup could of made a massive difference, especially if Robinho replaces Fred.

Wasn't there a top Brazilian club team who if losing at home would start a fight on the pitch whereupon the police would rush on and beat up the opposing team ?

"Bring on the riot police" apparantly being their fans chant.

Have Germany lose to Ghana then to USA (USA and Ghana go through), USA wins to Algeria, loses to France, Brazil goes "1998/2006 never forget!" and trounces them before winning against Argentina by the skin of their teeth.

ASB without Neymar, it would of been Maracanazo 2.0.

Unfortunately for Brazil, none of that's going to happen with the complete shite they had in their squad!

Neymar and Thiago Silva were possibly the only players in their side who could have any kind of pride in their performance at the tournament. The rest were a mix of average players and most of them barely reached that standard.

It comes to something when Brazil's first striking option off the bench is an Everton reject.

I think the only way to fix Brazil's World Cup is to have a different manager - Scolari selected a very poor squad and had them playing very poor football.

You can't beat the German machine, so break it. Algeria decides to be even dickier with the Germans then they were with the Russians. Lots of injuries. Eventually Algeria is kicked from the game however Germany can't continue because they don't have enough players. France loses to Brazil. Then during the Brazil-Argentina game Messi breaks a leg.

Those 3 aren't any better in the twilights of their careers than the squad they took.

Brazil were lucky to get as far as they did. Really you need a POD years back to bring about the sort of changes they will probably go ahead and make no to their youth development and domestic football structures.

Wow I didn't realize Robinho was already 30. But still he would of been a much better choice over Fred.

Have the German (and then Argentinian) side come down with 'food poisoning' 24 to 48 hours prior to the game. Actually happened in South Africa in the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final. (Something that Invictus movie failed to mention.:()

Basically anyone would've been better than Fred. Ronaldo coming back from retirement would've been better than Fred.

On a serious note, you could somehow convince Diego Costa to play for Braxil instead of Spain. He and Neymar would've been a good combination.

Brazil reached OTL the semi-finals,

And they were incredibly lucky to do so. They had a huge amount of luck and benefited from some very generous refereeing getting there. Both ran out when they met Germany and it should be remembered they were also soundly beaten by the Dutch so just shuffling Germany out of the way may not help much.

Of course I am not denying they were lucky, exactly the opposite, they just need their luck to last for 2 more games.....
