Alternate Geographical Place Names

OK, maybe this kind of game has been done, but nevermind that. Here, you post alternate names of places, whether they are cities, islands, or even continents. The names can be used in ATL or OTL (during earlier times), and must include in what language or civilization the names are used.

As opening:
Zabaj--Southeast Asia (Arabic)
Mul Jawa--Java (Arabic)
Zanj--East Africa (Arabic)
Andalus--Iberian Peninsula (Arabic)

Thanks in advance!

Frangistan--Europe (Persian/Turkish/Arabic)
Anahuac--Mexico (Nahuatl)
Kemet--Egypt (Egyptian)
Kush--Nubia/Sudan (Egyptian)
(the) Maghreb--Morocco (Arabic)
Beč/Becs--Vienna (Serbo-Croatian/Hungarian)
Peninsula of Haemus--Balkan Peninsula (Greco-Roman)
São Lourenço--Madagascar (Portuguese)
Anatolia--Central Turkey (Greek)

Fusang, either the Americas or New Zealand if the Chinese foray into widespread trade and eploration continues unabated after the fall of the Yuan dynasty.

Polynesian explorers would probably call parts of America Hawaii (or Tahiti). Or a poetic name like Rainclouds in the East.

A less successful Irish settlement of Scotland – Pictland.

A less unlucky Minoan Crete – Kheftiu for Crete, Greece and much of the East Mediterranean for quite a while, leaving a larger cultural print, with many similarities to OTL Greece.

Pencock, English Siam
Fairwinds, River Plate Colony
Dadu, Capital of (Mongol) Imperial China
Nova Iorca, Portuguese North America
Lutencia, Francia
The Sea of the Sleeve
