Challenge: Prussian East India Company

This one is has two parts:

1. How can we get Prussia to set up an East Indian Company?

2. Where would it likely operate? Would it claim land in Indonesia, Burma or Indochina.

Bonus points if you can realistically set up a Prussian colony in India.

What can we also foresee the fate of the Company after the German unification, or how this extra land will affect the results of the First World War?

I can't really see a notable Prussian fleet before Unification and after the Nappy Wars. How'bout no Nappy wars and Prussia manages to build, acquire a fleet that it uses to go on adventures in South Asia.

This is pretty difficult, as Brandenburg-Prussia is too small and powerless, while later on Prussia is too entangled in Europe.

Historically, the Great Elector attempted to do some colonizing in Africa, but it went nowhere. Maybe if he went the other way (and attempted a long term partnership with Britain), it could go somewhere. But then Prussia would have been eventually swallowed up, I think.

Not very likely, but what if the Prussians take over the VOC after the Netherlands was reduced to effectively just a Prussian puppet in the time between the ARW and the FRW?

This says that around 1650 there was an attempt by Denmark to sell its colony at Tranquebar to the elector of Brandenburg. if this had worked then possibly a small Prussian/Brandenburg EIC could have appeared, nothing grand but simply a small scale op (like the Danish one)

That seems reasonable. Of course it would probably just be taken straight off the Prussians at the next war, as kept happening to Courland, but...

possibly but I am left witht he impression that Tranquebar was small and unimportant and perhaps not even worth the agro of taking it and doing something with it. In OTL, we occupied it during the Nap Wars but gave it back to Denmark afterwards and didn't buy it off them until 1848. Perhaps it could end up like that for Prussia, no one else can be bothered to have it.

All that is required to set up an East India company is some maps, some ships and some dosh. Control of islands and/or ports is extra and not required.
