Alternate NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney Upsets and Outcomes

Just wondering how it would be.
Here are some few.
1990: 12 Ball St beats 1 UNLV 70-69 and advances to the Elite 8.There they face 7 Alabama. They beat Alabama 86-56. They lose the semifinal to Georgia Tech,78-68.
2008:Memphis make the shot and wins the championship, but D-Rose is never stripped of his academic controversies.
2010:Gordon Hayward makes the half court shot and Bulter wins the championship, and Butler becomes a dynasty.

Add to mine, and add your own.

There are so many

Seton Hall isn't called for that touch foul on Rumeal Robinson (Michigan); the Pirates win the 1989 NC and possibly steal some of the thunder from a rising UConn in the 1990s as PJ Carlesimo stays there for life

Keith Smart bricks that baseline shot in 1987 and Boeheim gets his first NC at Syracuse in 1987 instead of having to wait all the way until 2003

Another UNLV 1990 WI: Hank Gathers lives, remains healthy and a full-strength Loyola Marymount takes on Tark the Shark and his awesome Running Rebels in the Elite 8. Would have been the most exciting game in NCAA tournament history with a crazy pace; it had a crazy pace IOTL without Gathers but UNLV blew Loyola Marymount out

1985: Georgetown presses Villanova full-court to speed up the game and force some turnovers. John Thompson wins back to back championships with Ewing

1982: Fred Brown does not make the errant pass to James Worthy after Jordan's shot put UNC ahead

Okay here's a couple.

1989: Oklahoma is not able to fight back from a first half 17 point deficit and despite coming close, becomes the first and as of 2015 only #1 seeded team to fall to then #16 seeded East Tennessee State.

2007: #6 seed Vanderbilt manages a close win of #2 seed Georgetown advancing to their second Elite Eight appearance in team history before falling to #1 North Carolina.

2007 #5 seed Tennessee manages a close win of #1 seed Ohio State, earning their first ever Elite Eight appearance in team history, before ultimately falling to #2 Memphis.

Check this out:

1. Xavier upsets Ohio State in the second round (they came close), and Tennessee ends up beating Xavier and Memphis to go to their first ever Final Four.

2. USC holds on to their big lead against the Tar Heels, and goes on to beat Vandy to reach the Final Four.

Then, in Atlanta, you get UCLA-Florida, and Tennessee-USC, and the Gators beat the Vols to take home their second straight title.

(also, some wishful thinking: Greg Oden and Mike Conley, Jr return to school to try to make a run at a title, and the Blazers draft Kevin Durant #1 overall)

the one I most would have wanted to see was in the 1992 elite eight, if only christian laetner had missed that cursed shot.

2014: Dayton manages to upset Florida and makes it to the Final Four, only to have their Cinderella run end when they lose to the Connecticut Huskies (they would have lost, IMO; Connecticut was the best team that year).

1982: James Madison knocks off UNC in Round 2. Villanova beats Memphis and Alabama to advance to their first Final Four in 11 years, only to fall to Houston.

After G-Town beats Louisville, and Phi Slama Jama takes out the Cats, Houston and Georgetown clash in an epic final. With seven seconds left, and the Coogs up by 2, Fred Brown accidentally passes the ball to Clyde Drexler, who goes down and stuffs it to give Houston it's first national title.

2015 alternates:
Notre Dame makes the final four, beating Wisconsin 69-66. The Irish look for their first men's b-ball title heading into Monday,as they are 14 point underdogs to Duke.

Indiana fights off the Shockers 68-66 and with Kansas having a 17 point advantage at the half pedals backwards, giving IU the ticket to the Sweet 16,where they lose to ND.

Purdue makes the last second shot to beat Cincy 67-66,but lose to Kentucky 74-61.

Harvard beats the Tar Heels 68-67 and goes on to play No.5 seeded Arkansas,of who Arkansas has a 13 point lead with 8 minutes left,Harvard fight back, only to lose 69-65.

Louisville holds off Izzo and the Spartans to go to Indy, falling to Duke,of who they beat two years ago in the same stadium in the Elite 8,67-58.

Other:
1967:The defending champion Texas Western beats Pacific and holds off UCLA,going to the Final Four, where they Houston,72-61,and advance to the title game, where Dayton narrowly beats Texas Western,64-63,for their first title.

1980:purdue makes a surge in the final 60 seconds to beat UCLA,70-67.In their quest for their first title, they meet Louisville,of which Purdue wins 74-59.

2002:NC State makes a three to send their round of 32 game to OT against UConn.NC State wins 76-72.Aganist Southern Illinois,NC State tread backward in the last ten minutes for USI to win 74-67.USI,an 11 seed is the upset story in the tourney, defeating Maryland 67-61 to their first Final Four.

Texas beats Oregon to advance to the Elite 8,where they win against Kansas 86-73.

Mizzou,a 12 seed, goes to the Final Four when they beat the Sooners.

Final Four:
USI 45
Texas 61

Indiana 82
Mizzou 69

Championship game:
Indiana 68
Texas 52

2004: 2-seed Mississippi State is not upset by Xavier in the Round of 32 and goes on to make the second Final Four in school history (after 1996).

2008: 8-seed Mississippi State does not choke away the game and instead upsets 1-seed Memphis in the Round of 32.

1969: After Dolph Pulliam's putback with eight seconds to go, Kareem gets called for a foul. Pulliam hits the foul shot, sending the UCLA-Drake Final Four game into OT after Lynn Shackleford misses at the buzzer.

In the OT, Drake manages to pull off the upset by one point on a Rick Wanamaker shot with two seconds left, and they go on to beat Purdue by 20 in the finals.

1973: Marvin Barnes doesn't get hurt against Memphis State. Providence rolls over them, and then they upset UCLA in the final.

2010: Robbie Hummel doesn't hurt his ACL in Purdue's game at Minnesota. Purdue goes on to get the #1 overall seed in the tournament and rolls to an NCAA Championship, its toughest game is a 56-51 defensive battle with Butler in the Sweet Sixteen. Hummel returns for his senior year along with E'Twaun Moore and JaJaun Johnson in 2011 and Purdue ends up going undefeated en route to their second consecutive NCAA championship to become the first undefeated NCAA champion since Indiana in 1976.

1981: The St. Joes player doesn't see his teammate wide open and forces up an airball. DePaul ends up making it to the Mideast Regional Final, where they lose to Indiana by 10 on their home court.
