WI: Walt Disney Lives to be 100

Big butterflies for the industry.

Perhaps my most favorite Disney movie, Big Hero 6 (no copyright infringement intended), never becomes a film, and since you imply OTL with this change:

Maybe instead of the "Walt Disney is frozen" Urban Legend we get a "Walt Disney is Immortal" Urban Legend because he'll be around for so long people will start to imagine he can't die.

1. Disney lives to attempt his City of EPCOT project, it becomes not a subdivision, but a resort with an exhibition center, indoor themed shopping mall, and other educational facilities. Walt will obsess over this property into the 1980's. He may attempt other urban planning and residential living projects later on though too.

2. Mineral King may be built somewhere in Colorado and not California as the third Disney resort in the US.

3. The studio will not see the decline in animated films as seen in the late 1960's and 1970's. There will be no need for a Disney Renaissance in the late 1980's.

4. There will be no Disney theme parks overseas. It's possible other types of resorts might also. Educational facilities may occur elsewhere though.

5. The Disney Channel still continues to be formed. Walt makes frequent appearances on it.

6. Walt could retire in the 1980's after Disney World and his ski resort is largely finished. There will not be more Disney theme parks anywhere until after his death. He may allow the development of water parks though in Florida.

Walt was dying of lung cancer and at most had another year left in him. The longest he could have lasted would be the mid-70's. Even then the odds of Epcot being built in full is unrealistic. He might have seen a bit of it built, but the Disney BOD wanted the MK and Themed Hotels to be built first.
