He fights in the Battle of Jutland and survives it, and when WW1 ends he is the naval equvilent of a corperal. What happens next?

Navies are famous for revolting.

Infact the German Revolution was caused by a sailor's mutiny. Hitler might be able to take over Germany even faster, with no Weimer Republic, and become a politician sooner. The Ruhr occupation might go differently. I can't go in depth since I only vaguely know about Pre-WWII Germany, but it'd be interesting what would happenend next.

There is a story called the "Little Admiral" by Wade G. Dudley on this exact theme (I can't remember if he fought in Jutland). After WW1, he eventually becomes a non-antisemitic nationalist leader of Germany with a naval fascination. I found the story hard to believe myself, but you might want to read it.

It's the first story in "The Third Reich Victorious" (an anthology of WW2 alternate history stories... you can guess the theme), which I reviewed here:

Too true about navies. I would consider its likely that Hitler would become a socialist perhaps with deeper communist leanings. It is likely that he could become a politician sooner via this route.

Will he have a greater appreciation of naval power? Perhaps.

Hitler is even more fascinated with building gigantic (overcompensating?:p) battleships the ever. He pushes for huge resources to go the the navy, allowing for the construction of the 2 Bismark's, the 2 Scharnhorst's, 4 Lutzow class pocketbattleships (he gose with Lutzow form teh begining, he has plans for Deutschland :D), 4 Admiral Hipper class Heavy Cruisers, the P-class battlecruiser Hindenburg, 3 M class light cruisers, the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin, the H39-class battleship Führer and the Super Super Heavy Battleship H44-class Deutschland, with 20 inch guns. The ships were all finished by 1943, and in July they all did a mass sortie aimed at destroying the Allied Fleet and bombarding coatsal areas, Hitler in personal command on the Deutschland. The Germans had managed to keep the Deutschland a secret, so when a Anglo fleet came to engage, it was not prepared for the 20 inch shells flying at them. The fleet made swiss chesse of the Royal Soverign and the Revenge, and heavily damaged the Duke of York before a retreat was made, the Germans only losing wo destroyers and a K-class cruiser. The fleet then bombared Scapa Flow, leaving it in ruin, and sailed into the North Atlantic for the North American Coast. The USS Iowa and New Jersey, along with the old guard of the US Navy Battleships, Mississippi, Idaho, New Mexico, Arkansas, New York and Texas and the HMS Nelson, Rodney, Warspite, Ramilies, King George V, Anson, and Howe all meet to enage in a final battle. Fought near Newfoundland on August 23rd, it is the largest surface action ever fought. The German fleet is anahilated except for a few cruisers, while most of the old battleships of the allies are sunk. Hitler is picked up and captured. With Hitler gone a military coup is launched by the army on September 23rd. It succedes after heavy fighting with SS forces, and Ludwig Beck put in power. A peace is then signed with the Allies, on teh conditions the Germans pull out of all occupied territory and they hand over all wanted war criminals for trial.

Hehehehehe, imagine that! :D
