The Techwank because its a Dystopian/Utopian novel not an art in precise alternate history. Why the tech leap isn't probable at least the explanation is reasonable.

Plausibility and realism is a criterion of good alternate history, and frankly the Domination fails big time in this regard: it's rubbish.

It's not "over my head" as you call it, it's very poorly written alternate history that defies logic and plausibility. It's not merely a dystopia, it's a bukkake of a dystopia...

I wholeheartedly agree...

Anyways, I decided to make a modified version of the ISOT map:

Added some corrections, and also modified things so that the Draka are wholly ISOTed... I thought it'd be more interesting this way, especially with the ISOTed bits of China beating Imperial Japan, as well as the ISOTed EU members beating Nazi Germany...

Not quite. The Dutch declare war on the Brits during the ARW. The Brits capture South Africa. The loyalists go there instead of Canada. Canada falls to the Americans during the War of 1812. The Draka capture all of Eurasia the WWII analogue, sans Japan, Formosa, India (All of OTL's British), Indonesia, and French Indochina. In the 70's India sans Burma falls to the Draka. In 1998 The Draka defeat the American Alliance. The Alliance flees to Alpha Centauri.

The Alliance would have won in Stone Dogs if not for the stupid Mexican women US president who didn't attack immediately.
No one among the Alliance higher-ups wanted to attack immediately.

Why does everyone's "2100" map show a huge brown country engulfing Africa and central Asia? Wouldn't the Draka have been eliminated? Or am I missing something?

It's an ISOT map. The Draka are sent to 2100, and their space is replaced by the 2100 countries.

Ohhhhhh..................................I thought it meant that the countries were sent to 1942, and then by 2100 they have liberated the world or something. Didn't know that the Draka were sent to 2100 as well.

Might as well repost this here...A slightly more realistic version of the Drakaverse, although I realize I'm pushing it by having a WWI in which Germany, Turkey, and Austria-Hungary are all on the losing side. At least the guy running Socialist Russia [1] isn't called Stalin, and the chap running Germany isn't called Hitler.

Bruce

[1] Socialist rather than Communist since, although fairly nasty in itself, the Russian regime has a fairly different set of ideologies than Lenin & co.

A followup on the previous. Don't expect further developments soon, since I dunno how the war goes, save that Japan gets its clock cleaned eventually.

A mostly unfinished map. The POD is the Albany Plan goes through, giving the Americans an advantage in the ARW with a unified government and a better army.

Shouldn't it be United States of East Indies (unless they've been colonized by Hawaiians sailing West or something)

Guess I could post this here as well.

An alt-Draka which fell victim to two socialist revolutions in the late 19th century.
