Alright, so Sardinia-France would work? Sardinia being a regional power in Italy and France being a semi-global power in the world and quite influential in Europe.

Sorry if I am tedious, I just want to have the guidelines as clear as possible

That would be fine, yes.

It's okay - I'd prefer people to ask too many questions, rather than too few!

I just looked at the current round's rules to make sure I had it down and realized that the one time I decide to do a future map the rules prohibit them. Although presumably that rule was added to prevent endless American-Chinese Cold War scenarios, for which I am guilty as charged.

So, it seems that while my planned (And in fact almost entirely realized) entry should be posted this evening (Assuming deviantART fixes itself...) I will most likely not be entering this round.

You're looking for a different thread. And I believe the idea of the challenge was less an ideological Cold War scenario and more a focus on a border region between two great or regional powers, although your map still fits that.

Æsir is right - you need to post your entry in the entry thread (a link can be found in my signature).

(Also, wouldn't a "slaveocracy" be run by slaves, not slave-owners?)

Gah. Sorry, total mistake. Will remove and repost.

Sorry, I'm used to the ABCs, where everything goes in one thread. Cheers for that.

On the bright side, you don't have to remember to include a color!

Firstly, nice map! Secondly, it does meet the requirements.

Thirdly, we need to decide what challenge to do for MotF 69! What challenges (or kind of challenges) do you guys want to see?

Maybe something to do with elections? That's just my suggestion.

Ah, I forgot about that suggestion that we wanted to keep 'til it was topical!

The People's Choice

Make a map showing the results of an election that is considered highly controversial or outright rigged.
I'm in favour, if everyone else likes it.

I'm up for The People's Choicefor the next round. (Probably better than other possibilities for making round 69 topical... )

Remember to embolden the names of challenge suggestions you like, so I can easily see your support when glancing back over the thread.

Well, since the election is in the last few days of the challenge, I feel that if this one loses, I'll be justified if I propose it for MotF 70.
