So I saw this "50 Years" collaborative timeline and went for it with salivation-rate escalated. And I discovered that the boat had more than sailed, it had gone around the world a few times and all the staterooms on it were booked and what-not.

I became envious.

I coveted.

I bet I am not the only one who feels this way...

"Ah to be present at the beginning of such a magnificent thing!"

So, yeah, I have not at all sought anyone's permission to do this. This is a blatant "OH OH ME TOO I WANT" thread, a glorious gesture of gluttony, a grab for something that isn't mine at all.

The poster Arkhan created that epic 50 Years thread.

I can smell the quality just from the opening post... Sigh.

Well.

In the spirit of a rogue cloning technician scampering out of a medical clinic for the rich and famous with cells taken from Winona Ryder, I shall now brazenly attempt to "grow my own." Well, it'll be ours, see. I wouldn't share Winona-clone with anyone, you know, but this thing is inherently a group-work if it rises above the level of some five-post remnant that sinks to the deep bla bla bla.

Let's go year by year, beginning in 1960:
January 2nd 1960: While standing with her husband as he announced his candidacy for the democratic nomination for presidency of the United States, Jaquelin Kennedy is shot three times by a lone-gunman from an abandoned office-building across the street.
Her condition is varys from critical to stable.
The Kennedy campaign has not made any press releases so far.
January 22nd: Something happens to the Bathyscape triste as it descends into the Mariana Trench and the cabins depressurise killing Jacques picard and Don Walsh.

January 29th 1960: Shortly before a speech to the nation, General Charles DeGualle is assassinated by a maimed Algerian veteran.

You should probably give a reason as to why these things happen, we are not so far down that butterflys cause crazy shit to happen.

I found the solution with the petitions to kill people, which was done in "Peace in Our Time" to prevent it becoming an assassination- /accident-wank, quite good, so.

Dear Modelcitizen,
I suggest that we need a petition, signed by three independent users, to kill a famous person. This does not only apply to politicians, but to pop stars, sportsmen,..., too.


First petitions will be:
Kill off Pol Pot
Kill Alfredo Stroessner
Kill Mobutu Sese-Seko
Kill Kim il-Sung
Kill Fidel Castro?
