POTUS: William Gibbs McAdoo

So what if Harding doesn't kick the bucket and proceeds to lose the 1924 election to William Gibbs McAdoo. What sort of butterflies do we see?

I heard that Henry Ford was considering a run against Harding. If Harding doesn't die, then he may well run - and possibly win.

I dunno; Hank couldn't even win a senator's seat in Michigan in 1918, and by 1925 a lot of the Ford luster had worn off, not to be revived until the Model A.

Who do we think McAdoo's running mate would be? Would Davis be chosen to sew up the South (not that McAdoo would need too much help), or would they still go with Charlie Bryan?

An interesting note, but McAdoo was the KKK endorsed Democratic candidate in 24 (it was a big convention fight OTL) -- if they prevail, that's going to have all kinds of effects in itself. There was a thread on this aspect..
