An ISOT/ASB one. Basically, a time traveller from the future travels to 1864 Paraguay, in the eve of the War of the Triple Alliance, and gives Francisco Solano López advanced weaponry from his time and privileged information about the future. Hilarity ensues.

Even if they had advanced weaponry, does Paraguay really have the resource base and population to do something like that? Plus they're going to need boats to get to the Guianas. Their land-link is deep in the Amazon Rainforest and I am given to understand it is almost entirely impassible for human beings.

The map seems to imply multiple time travelers, given the multitude of wanks...

And they dismantled New Caledonia and moved Hawaii closer to North America. Also the Maldives got a makeover, and what the fuck is Micronesia?

You know I find your New England obsession faintly worrying, but I am pleased it produced something as beautiful as that map.

The World of New York, New York in 2012, which I am renaming Watch on the Hudson.
After 117 years of Independence, the Second Republic of New York was founded in October 2011 during a wave of Revolutions that rocked the Western world, particularly Western Europe and North America. The National Revolution (October 1st to October 25th) saw the dissolution of the Confederation of New York, and the resignation of President John Matthias, who had rigged the 2004 Presidential election to take power. New York has now completely recovered economically from the disastrous Matthias Presidency, and is now in the beginning of a Second Golden Age. With New York City, her capital, the center of the United Nations, a center of culture, government, education, and commerce/trade, her power is now being compared to the height of Venice or Phoenicia during their heights. Currently, she possesses South New Jersey and Vermont as protectorates, along with Bermuda as a territory. Her former colonies from her colonial empire include Liberia (1905-1945), Congo-Brazzaville (1919-1949), and Gabon (1920-1949). The National Republican Party has controlled the Presidency since October 2011, and is poised to defeat the Social Democratic Party and Union Party in the 2012 Presidential election. New York's closest allies are New England, Canada, New Hampshire, Texas, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Italy, Turkey, the Democratic People's Republic of China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Relations have been normalized with the United States, the USSR, and both North and South China, while Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Iraq remain the enemies of New York politically. ![]()

The bit I find worrying is the stealing of Atlantic Canada. Like how the Cascadians want to steal BC. Are they trying to make us landlocked?

If you think my New England obsession is a bit worrying, check my location. That should allay your fears for a little bit. And besides, this is the farthest I've ever gotten back in time on an election series!
